Spending Time in our New Space...

On Friday the Parerā 5 children spent time with our Year 1 friends and their teachers in Pīwakawaka 1 and 2. In term 4, Parerā 5 will join P1 and 2 in their collaborative learning space for the remainder of the year. We are all very excited to connect and re-connect with new and old friends and continue our learning journey together.

We Love the Library!

What fun we have at the library each Thursday, exploring the shelves and enjoying the array of books on offer. We are learning about the fiction and non-fiction areas of the library and how the library is organised so we can find books and authors we are interested in. We also get to see our friend 'Jenny the Librarian' who helps us return and issue our books. She also gives us tips on great books she thinks may interest us. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful school library.

Bake Sale

This week we were very lucky to be invited to attend Kereru hub's annual bake sale. It was hard to choose what we would buy with our money, there such was an incredible selection of goodies to choose from! Money raised from the bake sale will go towards helping refugees settling in Christchurch, as well as reinvigorating our St Albans School garden.
