Today we began learning about the fairy tale 'The Three Little Pigs'. Cara read us the story and then we each had a little puppet to help us act out the story. The puppets were so kindly made by Sahel's Mum - thank you so much Tamali, you are amazing! We are looking forward to using the puppets again tomorrow as we explore the characters and setting of the story.

Kia ora Whānau Welcome to Term 3. Our inquiry this term is titled ‘Kindness begins with Me’. Within this theme we will be exploring ways in which we all contribute to our community. We will look at ways we can make our world a happier place by the way we treat people, our environment, animals and the world around us. Our writing focus will be Fairy Tales. This term our adventures will include Wheelie Day, a trip to Ferrymead Heritage Park, the school poetry competition, Book Fair week and Book Character Day, Māori Language Week, a Court Theatre performance and our folk dancing performance and Grandparents’ day.
