Parerā Newsletter, Term 3
Kia ora Whānau
Welcome to Term 3. Our inquiry this term is titled ‘Kindness begins with Me’. Within this theme we will be exploring ways in which we all contribute to our community. We will look at ways we can make our world a happier place by the way we treat people, our environment, animals and the world around us. Our writing focus will be Fairy Tales.
This term our adventures will include Wheelie Day, a trip to Ferrymead Heritage Park, the school poetry competition, Book Fair week and Book Character Day, Māori Language Week, a Court Theatre performance and our folk dancing performance and Grandparents’ day.
Below is a term calendar with all events and important dates noted. The fairy tale that we will be studying each week is included so that the children can bring along any books or resources you may have at home to support our learning.
